Leaf imagined the desi street. We built every inch of it.
A street-food world, fabricated down to the moustache. Leaf Design developed Nookad Nation's complete desi-street identity; Juxtapose produced and installed every inch of it — illuminated façade signage, a die-cut blade sign, the full interior wayfinding and menu system, and a framed graphic system across the dining walls. Concept & design by Leaf Design. Production, fabrication & installation by Juxtapose.

Project narrative
The brief
Leaf Design had built Nookad Nation a complete desi-street identity — a moustachioed mascot, a Devanagari-meets-Latin logo, and a riot of illustrated posters pulled straight from chaat-counter India. The job was to lift that world off the artboard and onto a working restaurant: every elevation, every counter, every wall — without losing a shade or a curve.
Concept & design — Leaf Design
The identity is Leaf Design's: the mascot, the bilingual lockup (the Devanagari न doubling as the Latin N), and a poster language of peacocks, lotuses and rangoli geometry carrying lines like खुशी का स्वागत and हर दिन उत्सव. Our brief was fidelity — reproduce it exactly, at architectural scale, in materials built to survive a working kitchen.
Our role
Illuminated channel-letter façade signage across the elevations, bilingual throughout. A die-cut blade sign carrying the mascot. The full interior signage and menu system — hanging station signs and clipboard-style boards. And a framed graphic system installed across the dining walls.
What it took
Colour-matching an illustration palette across substrates, kerning a bilingual lockup so it reads at thirty feet, lit letters that read as cleanly at midnight as at noon. Loud by design. Exact in execution.
